suddenly the light went out

Everything was normal while we sat there typing up our embarrassing story when the announcement came. “this is not a drill students we have an escaped convict running through the halls!” our principals voice yelled louder than we have ever heard it. Suddenly the lights went out and everyone ran to the cloak rooms most silently the rest whispering in hushed voices. I sat hearing some voices say “this is it bye.” But all I could think was no not yet. That’s when we heared the gunshot fire. I remembered Ella a quiet, shy, kind girl, had gone to the washroom minutes before and stared in horror as blood pooled under the door.

the boats

I sat on the rocks staring at the foreign boats, the sun barely touching my face under the shadow of trees. This is why I was alone, the only thing I could do, or was told I could do, was dream. I dreamed up incredible stories as I was told by everyone yet I sat there with a blank mind trying think of a story to base around the boats. I had always been fascinated by them even when I was a child. Where did they come from? Suddenly my mind gave me an idea and I began to work.

what is laughter?

What is laughter?               According to science, laughter is,  “physcological response to humor.” But when you laugh you don’t think you just laugh at something you find amusing.                       Sometimes we are amused in different ways than others. For example I amuse myself by watching my favorite T.V. show while my friend may be amused by annoying me. People laugh at all different types of things and we need laughter or we would never realize where we really belong, with the people who make us laugh. So remember “always find a reason to laugh, it may not add years to your life but it will add life to your years.”
